“I want to improve my private life, but I don’t have enough time…!”
There are many people who are worried about that.
This time, we interviewed Mana, a muse who devotes herself to her hobbies and interests while working.
In her busy everyday life, what kind of work style does she spend in her private life?
――First of all, please introduce yourself!
Mana, 34 years old.
I work in an educational field that deals with students.
-Why did you decide to pursue a career in education?
Because I wanted to get some kind of qualification and work.
I always liked the piano and had been learning it for a long time, so I thought it might be a good idea to pursue a career in music, but my parents told me to get a license and work in order to live independently. So, I decided to pursue a degree in education.
――Tell me about your weekday schedule.
I can't telework due to my job type, so I basically come to work every day. It's a little early in the morning, but you've gotten used to it.
I always record the TV programs and dramas I want to watch, and watch something while I eat.
I stopped playing the piano once when I became a working adult, but last year when I had more time at home, I decided to play it again, so I bought a new piano. But the blank was so big that I couldn't move my fingers...
It was really frustrating, so I started going to classes, and now I'm practicing for 30 minutes every day for the recital in February!
――When do you feel rewarding at work?
It makes me happy when my students actually try out what I recommend and report back on the results.
――Do you have any problems at work?
Not!
However, I had some troubles in the beginning. I have no experience, so I'm a little worried...
Sometimes I have to encourage my students to do things they don't like, but I didn't know how to convey that, so it was really hard.
But now that I have gained experience and got used to it, I have a certain amount of confidence and an environment that is easy to work in, so I have no worries.
――What do you keep in mind to create an environment that is easy to work in?
I try to share information with people in the same workplace as much as possible. When I'm alone and there's something I don't understand, I'm worried, and I think there are things I can't solve.
I believe that if information is properly shared, it will be a comfortable workplace without worrying about being alone.
-Have you ever wanted to quit your current job? When I was younger, I was often given jobs that made me think, "Isn't it okay if I didn't do this?" But I thought I had to endure it and continued.
I'm enjoying my work now, and I think it would be nice if I could do what I like in my private life while working hard on this path.
――What are you into these days?
Cooking!
About two years ago, I started living alone and started cooking there. To be honest, at first I thought it was troublesome and difficult, but when I took pictures of the food I made, it became more and more fun.
While doing so, I decided that if I was going to take pictures anyway, I would like to have a well-balanced diet for myself, and in February of this year, I became a certified dietician.
――Was it difficult to study for qualifications while doing your main job?
If I didn't have some kind of motivation, I would feel unsatisfied with repeating the same thing every day, so it wasn't a problem at all.
Also, I'll definitely be back on time! That's why I can enjoy a lot of free time after work, so I can study for my hobbies and qualifications.
――Is there anything you are conscious of in order to return home on time?
I'm trying to establish a "character who goes home on time" around me (laughs). Then everyone contacted me early, so I didn't have to work overtime.
Also, I am conscious of finishing the requested work immediately and returning it immediately.
――Do you have any tips for continuing to study for lessons and qualifications?
It's all about setting goals within your reach. By doing so, you will be able to achieve what you are aiming for, which will motivate you to work harder.
- What do you do after working hours?
Recently, beauty acupuncture has become one of the things I look forward to on my way home from work.
It's the same with food, but it's the same with beauty.
――Why did you become a working muse?
In order to change my feelings, I wanted to separate the on and off, and I wanted to increase the number of private communities.
Through the activities of working muse, I would like to have more opportunities to talk with people from different occupations, participate in various events, and enjoy my private life!
――Is there someone you look up to?
Megumi Kanzaki and Miho Ishii. I yearn for beautiful people even when I'm old.
――What is your vision for the future?
I just want to spend every day comfortably without stress (laughs). Now that I am able to do that, I hope that I will be able to enjoy my private life while continuing to work like this.
Mana-san is a self-created “character who goes home on time” and has a clear separation between her work and private life. Recently, he has become interested in bookkeeping, so he bought a reference book.
It was an impressive Reiwa OL who enjoys what she wants to do with all her might and gives herself a stimulus every day.
