This time, we interviewed Sakino ( @teammusashin0 ), who works as a beauty model and proposes "preferred color makeup" that combines color cosmetics and otaku content .
``Touken Ranbu'' was the reason for my favorite color makeup
――Mr. Sakino, who proposes makeup that makes good use of colorful cosmetics. When did you start your Twitter account?
May 2019, isn't it? I had an account for a long time, but it was a private account for my own walls. However, when Reiwa came, I thought, "I want to spread the word about cosmetics and makeup." So I started as a cosmetics account.
By the way, the account ID "@teammusashin0" is the manga "Whistle! (laughs) Because I'm an otaku...
――Cosmetics have nothing to do with it! (Laughs) When did you start exploring makeup with “color” in mind?
I love "Touken Ranbu", but in 2016 the official released a character image cosmetic called "Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-Eye Shadow" .
Everyone was excited and bought it, but since it's an eyeshadow that matches the costume and hair color of a two-dimensional character, there are also color patterns that make you wonder, "Who would use this?" (laughs). I saw on social media people wondering what to do about red and yellow, and I posted a sentence on my blog where I was working as a model at the time, proposing how to match it in my own way.
"I don't know how to use colored items well" was something I experienced myself, so I was happy that many people were happy with it, and from there I started to pursue it further.
――That's why you've started posting continuously on Twitter now. I've been watching the cosmetics account since its inception, and the number of followers has really increased. Updates seem to be more frequent.
I have already thought of dozens of patterns for the “push color makeup” that proposes makeup that matches the color of the character. If I only do what I know, I will get stuck, so I accept requests from my followers on Marshmallow (a service that allows you to send messages anonymously).
――From the characters of “Kimetsu no Yaiba” to the members of the idol group “BOYS AND MEN”……. Even with tricky colors, if you match it like this, it will be familiar! I'm always impressed. What do you do when you get a request for a character you don't know?
I study by properly reading the original work and listening to character songs! It's nice to be able to meet works that I didn't know about.
――As expected of an otaku……! Do you have a favorite color makeup that you have proposed so far?
"Hypnosis Mic" Doppo Kannonzaka's makeup! Red eyeshadow tends to be puffy and difficult to apply, but I feel that this makeup is well balanced. After that, I wondered if I could simply convey the feeling of being alone (laughs).
――Do you always come up with ideas all at once?
No, I'm pretty worried ~. It's difficult to keep the colors from quarreling with each other... Sometimes I reapply 3-4 times. Even after posting on Twitter, there are times when I reflect and say, "I wish I could have been cuter." I still don't know how to take a beautiful picture, or what angle is the best to see.
――How are you working now?
The eyes are taken with a photo app called "BeautyPlus", and the colors are adjusted using the iPhone's photo processing function and a processing app called "BeautyCam". The lettering of the cosmetic name is "PicsArt". Still in trial and error! Also, I'm really embarrassed to take selfies...
――Even though you are a model! (smile)
I don't usually take pictures myself. I'm not very good at Instagram (laughs).
――Sakino-san, it is impressive that you post makeup photos of your “whole face” (the whole face), not just the parts such as the eyes and mouth.
Even when I was looking at makeup photos on other cosmetic accounts, I was wondering, ``This makeup looks cute, but what kind of atmosphere would it look like with a full face?''
Because of the color makeup, I thought that it would be better to have information like "This is what a full face looks like". In fact, there are people who are happy about that, and it's embarrassing every time, but I'm doing my best.
――Is there anything you would like to do with your Twitter account?
Up until now, there have been many proposals for concept makeup that matches a specific character, but I would like to create more one-color “preferred color makeup” with the feeling that “people who want to use red should use this .” Like waving a red penlight, make-up that everyone who has a red image color can use.
Thankfully, I recently supervised an article proposing "preferred color makeup" for a certain web media company.
――What makes you happy to run an account?
It makes me happy when I get comments such as "I tried (the recommended color makeup) too!"

Well, when I realized... (laughs).
――That’s right (laughs). So how did you become a model?
I became interested in modeling when I was in college. Actually, her older sister is doing hair and makeup work, but she was attending a vocational school at the time, and she was using me as a practice.
Before long, the hair and makeup apprentices around my sister began to call me, and I began to think, ``beauty models look interesting,'' so I joined the agency.
Even now, when I go to work, it's fun to look at the items that the make-up artists have on display and listen to them and get excited.

――Does it mean that you don't wear make-up at work?
That's right! I go out with no makeup and a mask (laughs). I do my own makeup when I go out with friends or when I'm involved in otaku activities.
But I like to collect colored items, so I wonder if I spend about 20,000 yen a month, regardless of depacos or drakos. I often buy domestic brands rather than overseas high-end brands. I'm looking for something that "matches", not something that's glittery, so maybe I'll choose a domestic company as a result.
Recently, I often buy RMK and SUQQU. SUQQU is really beautiful, and the color is just as you see it, so as a color cosmetics lover, it's irresistible. If it's a matte type, Vise's single eyeshadow is also easy to use.

I don't carry foundation with me, so I just use concealer to fix my makeup.

Sleep is really important! Before an important audition, I make sure to sleep for at least 7 hours. Then have a meal. When my hormones are so out of balance that nothing can be done with these two, I go to get Chinese medicine.
――Beauty cannot be done in a day... Did encountering cosmetics and makeup change your life?
You've changed. She became a model not because of fashion, but because of cosmetics.
I want to be a beauty model for as long as possible, but it's not a job that expands with age... I would like to combine my makeup knowledge, my other beauty qualifications, and various other things to make the most of them!
