International has announced the results of the "Survey on Sleep".
About 1 in 4 people "sleep opposite each other"
First of all, regarding sleeping postures of couples, “sleep opposite each other” ranked first with 24.0%. It turns out that about 1 in 4 people sleep without any part of their body touching each other.
This was followed by 2nd place: “sleep touching your back” (6.6%), 3rd place: “sleep hugging you from behind” and “sleep with your head on your partner’s chest” (6.0% each).
Furthermore, when asked about the budget for bedding depending on whether or not they have a partner, the average for those with a partner was 11,803 yen, and the average for those without a partner was 5,645 yen. This resulted in a double difference.
Next, when asked if they feel healthier than people of the same age, 17.3% of those with a partner answered that they "feel very", and 6.0% of those without a partner.
Next, regarding whether or not you feel stiffness in your body such as your hips and lower back when waking up, the total of “frequently” and “sometimes” was 77% for those with a partner and 54% for those without a partner.
The ratio of using mattresses for bedding was 67% with a partner and 52% without a partner. In addition, 56% of those with a partner want to replace the mattress they are using, exceeding 40% of those without a partner.
Regarding whether they are satisfied with their own sleep, the total of “very satisfied” and “somewhat satisfied” is 46.9% with a partner and 48.7% without a partner, which is almost the same result.
From this survey, it was found that people with partners felt lower back/stiff shoulders even though they felt healthy. It seems that the presence or absence of a partner has nothing to do with the current level of sleep satisfaction, even though I feel sick.
